Heng Xamrin, president of the National Assembly, rejected to request made by SRP MPs for the government to answer questions on border issues. According to a letter sent by Heng Samrin to SRP MPs Son Chhay, Kimsuor Phearith, Yim Sovann, Ke Sovannaroth, dated 05 April 2010 that Kampuchea Thmei received, it indicated: after reading and reflecting the content of the letter that was sent to Samdach Akkok Moha Sena Batt Dey Dek Cho Hun Xen, prime minister of the kingdom of Cambodia, Heng Xamrin believes that it is not necessary to forward this letter to the government because Heng Xamrin, just like the public, observes that in the border problem between Cambodia and Vietnam, the discussions between the SRP and the government never lead to good results (sic!). It should be noted that Heng Xamrin’s rejection letter took place after the four SRP MPs above sent a letter to Hun Xen on 30 March 2010, asking the government to clearly respond to a number of questions on the Cambodia-Vietnam border problem.
