Hang Chakra said: “There is no institution that can pressure me to change my conscience when I am using my own funds to publish my newspaper, and when my newspaper is still alive through the support of the readers.”
Nevertheless, prior to his pardon, Hang Chakra wrote a letter of apology to Hun Xen, and he promised that, should he be released, he will not write any article pointing to corruption without proof.
